Day 1 of Operation Housesit

So here I am, in a foreign (well, I've been here like a million times... but still) house, with no company save for 3 cats and a very old, large, black dog. The youngest cat, still a kitten, refuses to get off of my arms and is purring really, really loudly. I'm not used to cats, so this is a bit strange.

I cheated by going home for dinner... but I couldn't resist flank steak with homemade sweet potato fries and apple pie! I don't think anyone could. I also had to watch some of the SAG awards at home. I saw my man James Franco saying one sentence onstage about Milk, yes! Quite exciting.

I really wish it were the weekend, so I could stay up really late watching movies or something. School nights are a drag.

But seriously, this is the life. The only stressors are assignments I have due this week... like 10 pages of screenplay and 2 stories for the school paper. And maybe the hazard of getting clawed in the face by a kitten...

This outfit is amazing... I wonder where I could find some boots like those. Long live the Klaus!
Wow, let me tell you, (and by 'you', I mean me when I reread this...) days don't get much more awful than this. I haven't showered, it's cold outside, I have no one to hang out with, and I've run out of Entourage episodes to watch. And more than ever, I just want to get the hell out of here. I want to be an adult. And not live here. Bring on the college. I could do homework, but who starts on their homework on Saturday? This is awful. I'm definitely excited to housesit starting tommorow afternoon... I'll be answering to NO ONE. Wow... angsty.

Okay, I'm done.

Blazers. and Friday.

Top row! Yes! The game was really fun, very exciting, even though we lost... and LeBron James scored 34 points...

I'm about to go sushi it up with a chick friend, Philadelphia (roll) here I come!

... I'm baaaaaack...

Hey "everyone"! It's me! Anyways, I made these wonderful cupcakes last week, they were a big hit with my friends and family... I wish I had photographed them. The cake part was vanilla, with crushed up vanilla creme-filled vanilla cookies from Trader Joe's. The frosting was vanilla with crushed up chocolate/mint cookies from Trader Joe's. Amazing. I love my cupcake/muffin cookbook.

Also, I am completely overwhelmed by the fact that I keep purchasing CDs and they are just PILING UP, and I never put any of them on my iPod, so finally tonight I put the Bright Eyes CD I found at Goodwill like a month ago on there... it's so sad. Only about 32 to go. Thanks a lot Kill Rock Stars... I bought 5 used CDs at Ranch Records the other day. I went in there because I saw the sale sign, but apparently the only 'sale' going on is that you get 4 clearance used CDs for $10, for a saving of two dollars. They tricked me... so I bought, among others, a Bee Gees CD with songs I haven't heard of, ever. I'm obviously not as big a Bee Gees fan as I thought...

Also, I have waaaaay too many clothes. But this, I am completely okay with.

Blazer game tommorow! Yeeee-ahhhhhh! 2nd cheapest section! Yeeeeeeeah! LeBron James! Yeaaaaaah!

Oh, I ran "the mile" today in aerobics... I got the exact same time I got back in October, after improving by 40 seconds in November. :/

Wow, I never use that emotion... I guess I just did. Maybe my secret blogger self likes to use those... well, that's cool.

Also, I'm likin' Entourage. I finished the first season today, and I must thank Frank for encouraging me to watch it.
